Mike,
C-4 made a good showing at our annual New years Camp out. And my
newest one (Carri's board, actually) wasn't even in the picture.
I hope you and your family had a great Christmas and New Years. -John Morgan

Battle of the Paddle Thanks |
|
Aloha
I just want to give a huge Thanks out to Boarworks and the whole team
Phil, Mike and Christa who is good friends with a C4 team member Tiare
for everything at Battle of the Paddle in Doheny State Park, CA. I
show up from FL with no equipment and thanks to the team I end up
competing in the Open Race and win for my age group (30-39). I don't
know if I was only one in group but I rode the 11'6" C4 Waterman board and
paddled my life out against the wind. Looking forward to purchasing a
Waterman for here at home. I know tons of people who want to paddle.
Battle of the Paddle was a great experience and I plan on continuing
to Paddle and share here at home with fellow surfers. Thanks again to
C4 Waterman!!!!

Hi Todd,
I had a great summer training on my Uli board. I took it down rapids on
rivers which really tested my balance. I also had it out on the lake in
Yellowstone and would explore areas on my board that I'd never seen.
Thank you once again for supporting skiers who also love water. It's an
amazing way to cross train. Enjoy the pictures.

Yeah Todd!
I just went down to Boardworks on Friday and picked up a 10' for
myself. This last weekend were slammed with groms and were short a
board. Plus, I felt stupid not being on one of your boards after your
generosity with the paddles you flowed us, and wanted to get you a
photo.
I am so stoked on the 10' ! I went from an 11'11" Sean Ordenez ( I still love it) but as
soon as I jumped on my new C4, before even one stroke, I knew it was
the one for me. It absolutely paddles as if it was longer, and very
stable. Most of the time while coaching (surfing or SUP) I'm just
standing. Not to badmouth Surftech, but I tried my girls 11' R.H. and
while mine being a foot shorter there is NO COMPARISON! Your boards are
significantly lighter and turn on a dime. Even a six year old could
tell the difference.
My board is really amazing and I cannot wait to
take it in the surf.

For
the last two weeks since receiving my C4 paddle my stroke has got more
efficient!! I`ve a cleaner draw on both rails. I`ve tried 5 different
paddles over the last 18 months and often train in the bay with my
partner Jericho Poppler ( 1970 U.S. Women's Champion who co-founded
the women's international Surfing Association, then co-directed the
first Women's International Professional surfing Championships as well
as developing the Women's Professional Surfing Coalition) . My lap
times over repeated distances have dropped continuously since using
your paddles! I am 51 and I cross train between swells and days of
unfavorable winds. It really makes a huge difference when the swell is
on! We are going between 17-25 miles on the flat water a week. My
shoulders and torso strength are not compromised as the blade seems to
pull the board to optimal speed-smoothly. On our last paddle my partner
noticed how much more my glide l possessed on a open ocean work-out. We
would love to try anything new!! This young sport will only progress
with feedback from legends of the sport of surfing! Thank you and keep
up the great work Todd! Mike Downey

Todd,
I wanted to say thanks for taking time to
call me about my broken paddle situation. I'm glad you wanted to see if and what
my paddle techniques are and what type of SUP'ing I doing. I have been doing SUP
for about little under a year, surfing for over 25 years. I have a swimmers
background and swam for NC State. I have a strong upper body and long
arms , I'm 5-10'' -- 190 lbs. and a stocky stature.I usually take long
paddle strokes and in flat water paddles I get in to a steady paddle stroke
then try to do some paddle sprintsform a small burn. When I surf on a wave
I may rush the stroke to paddle past a breaking wave section. I know when
paddleing for a wave I di put alot of tourqueand stresson the paddle and I
do feel I have good technique. I have watched all your you tube vids and
have the ''SUP Surfing Hawaiian Style'' DVD How To Vol 1
. I feel I'm pretty well rounded in the sport of SUP.
I know
your paddles are great, strong and state of the art with no issues with
the product. I'm aware that during the manufacturing process their could be
flaws that could make it to the market place.. The law of %'ages. I'm
all over the C4 mission statement and love the fact that you and your
company has brought the ''Waterman'' out of me
Now I'm so hooked and spreading the stoke
to all. I give free lessons and demos to all who want to learn.. I started a
website here to SUP. I devote alot of free time to the Boys and Girls
Club here in the Island taking them out on Stand Up, surfing and kayaking and
even helping out with their school work. Its a priceless feeling I get in
return. Below is the link of an article in our newspaper about
me and SUP.
Thanks for your insite and
bringing the waterman out in me. You have created a great company and surrounded
youself with a bunch of great people and stand by your great products. Your
customer service is 2nd to none. For that alone I will continue use your company
and products. That say's alot about a company. That is becoming rare in
this world today.
Paddeling toward the future one stroke at a
time... Mahalo Glen Barroncini
